The Clydesdale Education Foundation was developed to accept contributions (which may be declared by the donor on his/her tax form as a deduction) for the following Clydesdale-related, charitable purposes:
- To provide cultural, historical, and educational information about Clydesdale Horses.
- To conduct studies, instruction, training, and research for the continuous growth and perpetuation of the Clydesdale Horse of America.
- To make available gifts and grants for the continuous perpetuation of the Clydesdale Horse.
- To carry out any lawful purpose permitted under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, or comparable provisions of subsequent legislation, including the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt under Section 501(C)3.
We are open to proposals and request from members for projects which may be supported with our current limited funds. One current project goal is to use financial assistance for regional and local seminars or work days. As our resources grow, we will be able to fund more ambitious projects, for example, our own youth program, family opportunities, a history of the breed in America in depth, and eventually scholarships for research projects of benefit to Clydesdale Horses.
Some funds have already been received, and we invite you to become a part of this new venture designed to benefit our beloved Clydesdales. Contributions may be made in a number of ways designed to make it easy for you. Cash, checks, stock, or credit card will be gratefully accepted. No gift is too small or large, and contributions can be designated for a specific purpose or for the general fund. Our wish is to make it easy and pleasant to do something that will ultimately benefit our breed.
Grant guidelines and a grant form have been established and are available when applying for grant money to be used on the above described activities promoting the Clydesdale Horse. Please click on the hyperlink below for that information.
